绵竹汉旺：6月28日仁爱学堂纪事（阿甲、探长记） – 阿甲之桥

School events:
1. Today was cloudy and gradually clearing, and the weather was hot and humid, but the school in the bamboo forest was still cool. The morning classes at Qunxin Village School were basically normal, but with some extra details.

In the morning reading class, Teacher Ajia recited Li Qingzhao’s “Wujiang” on behalf of the lower grade children, and briefly shared the story of the Chu-Han Contention. The upper grade children were led by Teacher Lin Yiwei to rehearse the fairy tale drama “The Emperor’s New Clothes”.

The first class, as usual, was military training. Led by instructor Dai Xiping, all the students (over 40 this morning) marched in formation, marching in unison along the familiar country roads and paths. Along the way, they chanted slogans like “Benevolent School, Happy School; Happy Studying, Happy Growth.” This attracted some villagers, who stopped to watch with amusement. An elderly man, carrying a load on his shoulder, followed, expressing his surprise at the children’s appearance and expressing his appreciation for the teachers’ work.

During the second period, the school held its first (and perhaps final) fairy tale drama gala. The entire senior class performed “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” while select juniors collaborated on “Avanti,” featuring “Forbidden Foods” and “The Archer.” The actors were all incredibly engaged, and the audience was thoroughly entertained. The gala also featured a judging panel. Four judges reviewed and evaluated the performances, awarding Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress, and Best Narration, respectively, for each grade. The winning actors received impressive prizes (toys and sports equipment donated by the club), and all participating actors received souvenirs. The entire event was filled with exciting moments, and both the children and teachers were delighted.

In the third class, Teacher Chen Chao and Teacher Ajia worked together to teach all the children to sing “Edelweiss”. At the end, all the teachers and children sang the song together. After the class, everyone took a group photo.

Towards the end of the second period, Inspector Carrot arrived, replacing Teacher Ajia and Lin Yiwei. The children were thrilled to see Inspector Carrot back. He also participated in the following activities.

2. Today’s events will be divided into two parts. One part will be recorded in the A‑Jia section. The inspector arrived at the Ren’ai School in Quanxin Village near noon, just as the fairy tale drama competition was drawing to a close. The judges were busy tallying the scores. The inspector was honored to present the awards to the winners. Even though it was a Saturday, over 40 students participated in the morning’s activities. The atmosphere was tense yet enthusiastic. After the awards ceremony, the winners gave their usual speeches. However, they differed slightly from other speeches in that the children thanked not only the audience, the judges, and the teachers, but also the volunteers. It seemed that the children’s appreciation for the volunteers’ dedication had taken a deep hold on their hearts.

3. In order to facilitate the handover of work, the children are also given half a day off in the afternoon.

4. In the afternoon, Wang Wei and Wang Lu from the Ren Ai Foundation came to Zhulin Academy and introduced the withdrawal plan of the Ren Ai Academy in Mianzhu Sports Center in accordance with the spirit of the Mianzhu Education Committee. After discussion, the Ren Ai Academy in Qunxin Village also planned to withdraw within a week according to the corresponding steps.

At 2:30 p.m., Lin Yiwei, Chen Chao, and Ajia said goodbye one by one amidst the bear hugs of the group, their hearts filled with reluctance to leave. However, the farewell banquet had already been held, the car to pick them up was ready, and the flights had been booked. They had no choice but to say goodbye reluctantly.

6. As the members on the final shift, we enthusiastically discussed the priorities for the coming week. We felt we had to pull out all the stops to ensure the children had a fulfilling and enjoyable week (the specifics remain confidential for now). We had to successfully complete our mission. Everyone agreed: for all the volunteers who participated in the Qunxin Village Ren’ai School, we did what we felt was right, and we are a proud family. And for the six of us on the final shift, we are even more honored. We must bring this to a successful conclusion, and do a job worthy of our team!

7. Teacher Xiong Ying volunteered to establish a public library in the village, hoping to continue her spirit of contribution, so that children could continue to have access to these excellent books. Inspector and Qin Ming immediately responded, and we pledged to do our utmost to help Teacher Xiong realize this wish.

8. The evacuation schedule is as follows: Official classes will end on July 4th (next Friday). On the morning of July 5th, we will invite parents and villagers to observe the children’s performances. All members will evacuate Quanxin Village on the evening of July 5th or the morning of July 6th. During this time, we will develop a detailed material handover and evacuation plan and submit it to the Ren Ai Foundation.
