A brief summary of the development of picture books worldwide (focusing on currently published English picture books)

* The following arrangement is basically arranged in chronological order of publication year, with English picture books as the main line (unfortunately I don’t understand other foreign languages), and also based on works currently published in mainland China (books with title marks have been published in simplified Chinese), with a focus on Mr. Peng Yi’s “Picture Books: Reading and Classics”. Based on this idea, the result is basically based on the winners of the American Caldecott Medal and the British Greenaway Medal. Of course, a large number of good books have been missed, and it is even difficult to take into account works from Australia. So even if we look at the development clues of English picture books in this way, it is still a fuzzy view, and it can be regarded as a sort of arrangement that is better than nothing.
