A Garden of Green Vegetables Became Spirits (Xinyi Selected Picture Book Series)
Following “Morning Market in Lotus Town,” artist Zhou Xiang presents his second picture book masterpiece. Based on a widely sung children’s rhyme in northern China, the illustrations weave a series of captivating stories, both dynamic and static. The scene where a garden of vegetables (including tofu) splits into two fierce factions and engages in a large-scale battle is particularly captivating, both humorous and exaggerated. If paired with an authentic children’s rhyme and authentic vegetable and tofu props, children will never tire of reading and playing with it.

In the Forest (Popular Picture Book Series)
On numerous occasions, Mr. Naoki Matsui has confessed that this is his favorite picture book. But honestly, even after reading it many times, I still can’t understand why he loves it so deeply. I think it’s probably fate. While the story may superficially be playful and imaginative, it also holds a profound and tranquil reflection on life, a depth that perhaps requires exceptional life experiences to truly grasp.

Tim and Saran Series, Volume 1, 5 Books (The Giving Tree Picture Book)
“Tim & Saran” has been reprinted! The first Chinese edition, published even before “The Giving Tree,” included seven hardcover volumes. In a time when picture books were nearly nonexistent, these were truly heartwarming treasures. The Giving Tree Picture Book Library is releasing two series of 10 volumes in paperback format, enlarging the format to reflect the original edition—a truly charitable gesture.

Yiyi and Yaya Series 5 Volumes (Phonetic Version)
Dutch author Anne Schmidt is a truly fascinating veteran. Her acceptance speech for the Hans Christian Andersen Award is perhaps the most captivating. Her stories of Yi Yi and Ya Ya are equally amusing and heartwarming, with delightful illustrations. However, this Chinese edition suffers from a somewhat awkward format: The content is particularly suited for children aged 3–6, while the format is ideal for independent reading by children aged 5–8.

Dreamy Happy Reading Series 8 books
This series of short chapter storybooks, imported from Germany, is light and compact. Each volume contains a complete story (longer or shorter), divided into chapters, with a mix of text and illustrations, all in color. The stories range from anecdotes from teenage children to whimsical modern fairy tales. The illustrations are by a group of leading contemporary German artists, including Daniela Kulot, the artist behind the “Crocodile Loves Giraffe” series. This lighthearted and playful series is particularly suitable for independent reading by young readers in third grade and above.

Classic Masterpieces Picture Book Series (10 Volumes) (DK Series)
DK Publishing, a British company, is renowned for its exquisitely crafted popular science books on nature and social sciences. The recently released “Classic Masterpieces Picture Book Series” by Electric Power Press is a companion series to ten classics. These beautifully illustrated books showcase the original works’ context, geography, and cultural landscapes, as well as iconic story scenes. The text within the books serves as a chapter-by-chapter summary of the original works, providing readers with a wealth of engaging illustrations and information, regardless of their familiarity with the original works.

Nim’s Mouse (Global Children’s Literature Collection Series)
At first glance, you might think it’s just a heartwarming fairy tale. But as you read on, the suspense builds and the tension intensifies. And when you learn the origins of “Nîmes’s Mouse,” you might be shocked—it’s a grand story that attempts to rewrite the history of mice and humans! This long fairy tale is a true example of storytelling technique, of captivating and gripping storytelling. The translation is also rigorous and brilliant. It’s suitable for readers of all ages.

Animal Notes (3 volumes) (Seton Animal Series)
Seton is a classic Canadian naturalist and animal novelist, whose achievements in telling wildlife stories remain unmatched. This is not only because his stories are based on true observations (and therefore often tragic), but also because he was a remarkable animal artist, able to depict real wildlife with both scientific and vividness. Two of these three volumes contain animal stories that have been anthologized in other animal story collections, but the third volume, “Beast Tracks,” is a very rare edition, featuring Seton’s collection of drawings of beast tracks (which he personally drew) and the accompanying stories, making it a valuable collector’s item.

Cheng Weizhizhen’s Fiction and Prose Series (5 volumes)
I remember watching the movie “The Years of Cardamom” in middle school and loving it. I later learned that the film was adapted from Cheng Wei’s novel “Towards Eighteen.” Perhaps to jog everyone’s memory, it’s been renamed “The Years of Cardamom” in this new series. Another novel in the series, “The Girl’s Red Hairpin,” is one of the most iconic coming-of-age novels of the 1980s and remains deeply moving today. “Whispers in the Wind” is a collection of essays reflecting the author’s years abroad. Overall, this is a beautiful set of books, suitable for students from upper elementary school through high school, as well as for adult readers who admire this author.
