The Xin­rui Project – 2013 Bei­jing Fam­i­ly Edu­ca­tion Pub­lic Wel­fare Lec­ture Series (a Bei­jing Social Devel­op­ment Spe­cial Fund project) has invit­ed renowned chil­dren’s read­ing pro­mot­er and founder of the Red Mud Club, Ms. Ajia, to share the joys and tech­niques of read­ing aloud to chil­dren. Let’s share the joy of read­ing aloud with our chil­dren and read aloud to them!

A renowned chil­dren’s read­ing pro­mot­er. A grad­u­ate of the Law Depart­ment of Fudan Uni­ver­si­ty in Shang­hai, he is a vora­cious read­er and the father of a love­ly girl. In 2002, he co-found­ed the Red Mud Read­ing Club with Car­rot Inspec­tor and oth­ers, active­ly pro­mot­ing chil­dren’s lit­er­a­ture and read­ing. He is the author of “101 Books That Will Hook Chil­dren” (co-author), “100 Key Ques­tions About Chil­dren’s Read­ing” (co-author), “Help­ing Chil­dren Fall in Love with Read­ing: A Hand­book on Pro­mot­ing Chil­dren’s Read­ing,” and “Six Talks on Chil­dren’s Read­ing in Chi­na” (co-author). He has also trans­lat­ed numer­ous pic­ture books, includ­ing “Courage,” “The Lit­tle House,” “Stone Soup,” “Where the Wild Things Are,” “Peter Rab­bit’s World,” and “Mo’s Sick Day.” Since 2005, “Par­ents Must Read” mag­a­zine and the Red Mud Read­ing Club have col­lab­o­rat­ed on the annu­al Top 10 Chil­dren’s Book Rank­ings for eight con­sec­u­tive years.
