Although Mim­i’s sto­ry is a pic­ture book for chil­dren, Chenchen also likes it very much.

There is a hid­den world in Deng­shik­ou Hutong. I nev­er expect­ed that such a large court­yard house could be hid­den in the dilap­i­dat­ed hutong.

The beau­ti­ful song “Stars and Moon” made Chenchen laugh uncon­trol­lably as she watched the lit­tle bat and three lit­tle birds play­ful­ly hang­ing upside down out­side the bird’s nest. I think this scene awak­ened the rebel­lious and mis­chie­vous spir­it in Chenchen! “I am a naughty lit­tle witch~~~~~~ Stars and moon, grant me strength! Yes! Yes!”

Teacher Ajia led every­one to lis­ten to folk music and sing nurs­ery rhymes.

Chenchen and Qiao­qiao told each oth­er they could “draw and paint” on their Mimi note­books! Their expres­sions told us they were no longer ladies. To quote Qiao­qiao’s father’s catch­phrase, “Oh, so frus­trat­ing! So frus­trat­ing!”
