Welcome to vote for the 10 best children’s books of 2010

The bookworm A certain crooked poem praises:

Summer goes and autumn comes, the grains ripen, and the turbid and clear, the cold and the warm know each other.

Flowers bloom and fall with the wind, and it’s time to vote again.

[Highlights of the 2010 Nominees]

With the increasing promotion of picture books in recent years, readers’ tastes have become increasingly sophisticated, and their reading needs have become more diverse. People are increasingly looking forward to the development of original Chinese picture books, and many people are making strenuous efforts to achieve this. The “Second Chinese Picture Book Forum” held not long ago in Shanghai brought together many interested friends from across Taiwan, Mainland China, and Hong Kong for a wonderful exchange and sharing.Videos of speeches and interviews from this forum are available online »»

The biggest difference between the 2010 Top 10 finalists and previous years lies in the overall presence of Chinese-language original picture books, surpassing previous years and demonstrating encouraging momentum. However, we also clearly see that these works still lag far behind the Western picture books that have led the way for over a century. However, we hope that through our attention, criticism, encouragement, and support, we can help original picture books grow.
