Are there any storytelling or English reading materials suitable for 2‑year-olds? (Here’s a tip…)

A friend online read my post about listening to storytelling or reading English with children and asked if there were any storytelling books (preferably with a table of contents) or English reading materials suitable for children aged 1 year and 10 months. My response was as follows:

What is suitable for children?
Picture book? Or non-picture book?
Bilingual? Or a pure native speaker?
Fairy tale? Or not?
Popular science? Or does it not necessarily have to be popular science?
Plain text? Or not necessarily plain text?
Pingshu? Radio children’s stories? Serial novels? …
As children grow up, there will be many more questions like this.
There are many ways to solve this kind of problem, but there is only one real secret.
Adults should ask themselves: Do I like it? Do I like it enough to share it with my children?
Do it if you like it, do it if it’s convenient.
The important thing about parent-child reading is sharing the act itself with your children.
What content is best? Whatever makes both parties feel the most enjoyable.
That’s all.
