[Fort Chief’s Notes] Family Version of Three Good Students

In the evening, a family of three went for a walk with the dog and met another dog owner and parent. They naturally started chatting about strategies for the transition from primary school to junior high school.

The “experienced person” revealed that in order to attend the nearest key middle school, the child must meet at least two conditions:

(1) Becoming a “Three Good Students” student every year starting from the fourth grade;

(2) It would be best if the applicant has any special talents or sports, such as being a leading member of a famous choir or winning a district championship in running.

So the mother became a little worried. It seemed that Xiaoyin had no chance for the second item. What should she do if she didn’t have any special skills?

Xiaoyin quickly reminded them that it wasn’t just the second item, the first was also a problem! This year, the “Three Good” awards also included height and weight criteria, and it seemed quite difficult for the children to meet them.

With morale at such a low point, the fort commander felt it necessary to speak.

I said to Xiaoyin: You can declare to the teacher, “I am currently in the fourth grade, and my height is two centimeters taller than my father when he was in the first grade of junior high school.” According to the principles of genetics, this should be considered to be up to standard!

Xiaoyin said: But school doesn’t count.

I said: There’s nothing we can do about it, our family follows the “family standard”, haha.

I then added: Another very important point is that the standards for “three good students” in our family are also different.

Xiaoyin asked: What is that standard?

I say: Eat well! Sleep well! Play well! If you don’t do this, you can’t be considered a “Three Good Students”.
