I was so tired today! Xiaoyin fell asleep after listening to a few pages of the story and couldn’t tell Henry’s story.
Henry was almost asleep. He and Xiaoyin went for two consecutive walks in the afternoon and evening, and both times they encountered Guaiguai. They raced and wrestled until they both lay flat on the ground, panting heavily with their tongues hanging out. Guaiguai reportedly came home from a (fake) fight in the afternoon, still unsatisfied, and begged their owner for another round after dinner. Henry was similarly enthusiastic.
If Xiaoyin were to tell a story today, she’d definitely mention Henry’s progress this morning. At 6:50 a.m., Xiaoyin and I took Henry downstairs for some exercise. When we reached the pool, Henry, seemingly by divine intervention, effortlessly and naturally jumped over the stone bridge over the pool, something he’d never been able to do before. This little guy is getting braver and braver!
