His works have become incred\u00adi\u00adbly pop\u00adu\u00adlar world\u00adwide over the past decade, with count\u00adless fans across the Tai\u00adwan Strait. His audi\u00adence spans a wide range of ages, from one- and two-year-olds to art enthu\u00adsi\u00adasts of all ages. Tul\u00adlet has a vast body of work, many of which are high\u00adly cre\u00adative and inter\u00adac\u00adtive, and many have been intro\u00adduced to Chi\u00adna. Here, I will focus on three of his rel\u00ada\u00adtive\u00adly recent and rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive works: Oh! Un livre qui fait des sons)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Born in Nor\u00admandy, France in 1958, Dulay grew up in a rel\u00ada\u00adtive\u00adly impov\u00ader\u00adished neigh\u00adbor\u00adhood of Paris. He was a mediocre stu\u00addent for most of his school years until, in his sec\u00adond year of high school, a French teacher inspired him to become fas\u00adci\u00adnat\u00aded with Sur\u00adre\u00adal\u00adism and begin obses\u00adsive\u00adly exper\u00adi\u00adment\u00ading with auto\u00admat\u00adic draw\u00ading. He dis\u00adliked express\u00ading him\u00adself through draw\u00ading, believ\u00ading it was insuf\u00adfi\u00adcient to express his inner pain. He aban\u00addoned fig\u00adu\u00adra\u00adtive line draw\u00ading in favor of non-fig\u00adu\u00adra\u00adtive scrib\u00adbles. He stud\u00adied visu\u00adal com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion at the Cen\u00adtral Union School of Art and was recruit\u00aded by an adver\u00adtis\u00ading agency as an art direc\u00adtor before grad\u00adu\u00adat\u00ading.<br>Like pic\u00adture book mas\u00adter Eric Car\u00adle, Dulay ini\u00adtial\u00adly found suc\u00adcess in adver\u00adtis\u00ading, but con\u00adstant\u00adly design\u00ading pro\u00admo\u00adtion\u00adal designs for oth\u00ader peo\u00adple\u2019s prod\u00aducts left him feel\u00ading trapped in his artis\u00adtic cre\u00adativ\u00adi\u00adty. This is large\u00adly due to the pop\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adi\u00adty of elec\u00adtron\u00adic media. He excels at uti\u00adliz\u00ading sim\u00adple geo\u00admet\u00adric shapes and basic col\u00adors, such as the pri\u00adma\u00adry col\u00adors red, yel\u00adlow, and blue, often against his sig\u00adna\u00adture white back\u00adground, to cre\u00adate imag\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtive visu\u00adals. How\u00adev\u00ader, unlike \u201cDot Dot Dot,\u201d \u201cTalk\u00ading Dot Dot Dot\u201d incor\u00adpo\u00adrates the inter\u00adac\u00adtion of sound: read\u00aders are asked to make dif\u00adfer\u00adent sounds, such as \u201coh,\u201d \u201cah,\u201d and \u201cwow,\u201d based on the shape and col\u00ador.
