The lan\u00adguage is beau\u00adti\u00adful, the illus\u00adtra\u00adtions are beau\u00adti\u00adful, and the sto\u00adry is tru\u00adly beau\u00adti\u00adful. I nev\u00ader imag\u00adined that this book, which looks like a wood\u00adblock print, is actu\u00adal\u00adly made of water\u00adcol\u00ador! The end\u00ading was also quite unex\u00adpect\u00aded.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>\nThis is the kind of book you can\u2019t help but share with your chil\u00addren. As I was car\u00adry\u00ading it home, I hap\u00adpened to run into my daugh\u00adter on the way. She read it through as we walked, and then she said, \u201cWhat a great sto\u00adry! He became a famous pic\u00adture book writer by acci\u00addent. When his chil\u00addren were young, Gob\u00adle often read books to them. One time, when he saw his son watch\u00ading a play about Gen\u00ader\u00adal Cus\u00adtard, he<br>\nCuster TV series, he found that the plot was com\u00adplete\u00adly incon\u00adsis\u00adtent with his\u00adto\u00adry! So he went to the library to look for a book about Gen\u00ader\u00adal Custer, but found that there were no books suit\u00adable for sev\u00aden-year-olds.<br>\nHe was so famil\u00adiar with the bat\u00adtle of Cus\u00adtard and the Sioux and Cheyenne Indi\u00adans at Bighorn that he had an idea: he would write a book him\u00adself, draw illus\u00adtra\u00adtions, and read it to his chil\u00addren.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>\nThat\u2019s how Gob\u00adle lat\u00ader became a writer and illus\u00adtra\u00adtor who won many awards. In fact, his job and pro\u00adfes\u00adsion is fur\u00adni\u00adture and indus\u00adtri\u00adal design\u00ader and lec\u00adtur\u00ader at the design school.
