In the past five years in par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar, many new and inter\u00adest\u00ading forms have emerged. Illus\u00adtra\u00adtors from dif\u00adfer\u00adent gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtions, with their unique visu\u00adal lan\u00adguage, have cap\u00adti\u00advat\u00aded both chil\u00addren and adults.<\/p>\n
\nThe \u201cCon\u00adtem\u00adpo\u00adrary Ger\u00adman Chil\u00addren\u2019s Book Illus\u00adtra\u00adtions\u201d exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion, co-orga\u00adnized by the Goethe-Insti\u00adtut and the Trois\u00addorf Pic\u00adture Book Muse\u00adum, aims to pro\u00admote the high qual\u00adi\u00adty of Ger\u00adman pic\u00adture and chil\u00addren\u2019s book illus\u00adtra\u00adtions and the diver\u00adsi\u00adty of illus\u00adtra\u00adtive styles abroad. The exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion fea\u00adtures works by 13 care\u00adful\u00adly select\u00aded artists, allow\u00ading view\u00aders to explore the cre\u00adative achieve\u00adments of renowned Ger\u00adman illus\u00adtra\u00adtors. In addi\u00adtion to inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adly acclaimed mas\u00adters such as Janos, Klaus Ensickart, and Wolf Elbruch, the exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion also show\u00adcas\u00ades young illus\u00adtra\u00adtors whose work reflects new trends in the art of illus\u00adtra\u00adtion. The exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion also vivid\u00adly show\u00adcas\u00ades the diverse range of tech\u00adniques employed by artists today. While some tal\u00adent\u00aded illus\u00adtra\u00adtors cre\u00adative\u00adly car\u00adry on the tra\u00addi\u00adtion\u00adal paint\u00ading tech\u00adniques of old\u00ader artists, a younger gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion is explor\u00ading the pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties of dig\u00adi\u00adtal tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy for pic\u00adto\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal com\u00adpo\u00adsi\u00adtion.<\/p>\n
\nIn the ear\u00adly spring of 2006, a selec\u00adtion of orig\u00adi\u00adnal illus\u00adtra\u00adtions were exhib\u00adit\u00aded at the Pic\u00adture Book Muse\u00adum in Trois\u00addorf.
\nA world tour of its repli\u00adcas began in July. Since last year, the exhi\u00adbi\u00adtions in Greater Chi\u00adna, includ\u00ading Hong Kong, Taipei, and Ulaan\u00adbaatar, have been a huge suc\u00adcess. In mid-April of this year, the exhibits will be on dis\u00adplay for two weeks at the Cen\u00adtral Acad\u00ade\u00admy of Fine Arts in Bei\u00adjing.<\/p>\n
\nIn addi\u00adtion, we will be pre\u00adsent\u00ading a con\u00adcur\u00adrent exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion of Kirsten Boye\u2019s works. Kirsten Boye is one of Ger\u00admany\u2019s most renowned and suc\u00adcess\u00adful female authors of chil\u00addren\u2019s and young adult books. She cel\u00ade\u00adbrat\u00aded her 60th birth\u00adday on March 19, 2010. The exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion, enti\u00adtled \u201cGrow\u00ading Up with Kirsten Boye,\u201d is rich in con\u00adtent, cov\u00ader\u00ading themes, lit\u00ader\u00adary gen\u00adres, sub\u00adject mat\u00adter, and writ\u00ading style. Win\u00adner of the 2007 Ger\u00adman Prize for Young Peo\u00adple\u2019s Lit\u00ader\u00ada\u00adture, Boye has, with her unerr\u00ading insight over the past 25 years, enabled chil\u00addren and young peo\u00adple to find their own worlds, dreams, con\u00adtra\u00addic\u00adtions, and fears in her sto\u00adries. Over 100 of her works will be exhib\u00adit\u00aded, divid\u00aded into sec\u00adtions such as \u201cGrow\u00ading Up in a Fam\u00adi\u00adly,\u201d \u201cGrow\u00ading Up in Ham\u00adburg,\u201d \u201cGrow\u00ading Up in Vio\u00adlence,\u201d \u201cGrow\u00ading Up in Anoth\u00ader World,\u201d \u201cGrow\u00ading Up Among Pirates,\u201d and \u201cGrow\u00ading Up Free.\u201d Draw\u00ading on reli\u00adable doc\u00adu\u00adments and unpub\u00adlished works, the author\u2019s life and works will be pre\u00adsent\u00aded in a com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive man\u00adner. The exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion not only brings togeth\u00ader the ear\u00adli\u00adest edi\u00adtions of her works from 1985 to 2010, but also fea\u00adtures a read\u00ader\u2019s cor\u00adner where you can enjoy engag\u00ading let\u00adters from young read\u00aders. All this will tell read\u00aders: peo\u00adple can grow up with the works of Kirsten Boyle!<\/p>\n
\nSome of Kirsten Boy\u2019s works have been trans\u00adlat\u00aded into Chi\u00adnese.
