\nApril cel\u00ade\u00adbrates two major fes\u00adti\u00advals for read\u00aders: Inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal Chil\u00addren\u2019s Book Day (April 2nd) and World Book Day (April 23rd). In keep\u00ading with the book\u00adwor\u00adm\u2019s spir\u00adit of min\u00adgling, I accept\u00aded the invi\u00adta\u00adtion of Chi\u00adna Nation\u00adal Radio\u2019s Voice of Lit\u00ader\u00ada\u00adture and Art to par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpate in four week\u00adend talk shows this month: on Sun\u00adday evenings, April 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, between 8:00 and 8:30 PM. Host Li Jia and I chat\u00adted about a wide range of top\u00adics, start\u00ading with the ori\u00adgins of the two read\u00ading fes\u00adti\u00advals and dis\u00adcussing inter\u00adest\u00ading chil\u00addren\u2019s books (because the show had just aired \u201cEdward\u2019s Amaz\u00ading Jour\u00adney,\u201d DiCamil\u00adlo\u2019s works were fea\u00adtured heav\u00adi\u00adly). Then, we moved on to fre\u00adquent\u00adly dis\u00adcussed top\u00adics relat\u00aded to chil\u00addren\u2019s read\u00ading, such as how to choose books for chil\u00addren, how to read with chil\u00addren, and how to become con\u00adnois\u00adseurs of chil\u00addren\u2019s books togeth\u00ader.

\nThe bed\u00adtime sto\u00adry sec\u00adtion is becom\u00ading increas\u00ading\u00adly pop\u00adu\u00adlar, and the show has been extend\u00aded from half an hour to an hour, adding a half-hour of pro\u00adgram\u00adming for old\u00ader chil\u00addren. Recent\u00adly, they\u2019ve aired \u201cThe Wind in the Wil\u00adlows,\u201d \u201cAnne of Green Gables,\u201d and \u201cThe Wiz\u00adard of Oz.\u201d They\u2019re cur\u00adrent\u00adly air\u00ading \u201cThe Ant with the Cor\u00adner of His Shirt\u201d (anoth\u00ader pop\u00adu\u00adlar sci\u00adence fairy tale from the author of \u201cDiary of a Wimpy Kid\u201d).
