Today is the day for the com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty to get dog licens\u00ades. Xiaoyin and her dad agreed to come back this after\u00adnoon to get them togeth\u00ader. She\u2019ll get Hen\u00adry\u2019s pho\u00adtos tak\u00aden this morn\u00ading, and then her dad will devel\u00adop them. She\u2019ll pick him up from kinder\u00adgarten ear\u00adly this after\u00adnoon.

\nGet\u00adting a dog license in Bei\u00adjing was much eas\u00adi\u00ader than we imag\u00adined. We brought the most impor\u00adtant items\u2014money, a pho\u00adto, and then Hen\u00adry and I went to the near\u00adby neigh\u00adbor\u00adhood com\u00admit\u00adtee. Two local police offi\u00adcers were wait\u00ading. We filled out a form, attached our pho\u00adtos, and paid the mon\u00adey. Every\u00adthing was done, and we col\u00adlect\u00aded the license 10 days lat\u00ader. Some peo\u00adple, know\u00ading this, did\u00adn\u2019t even take their dog with them. They just said a few nice things, paid the mon\u00adey, and were done with it. Appar\u00adent\u00adly, rais\u00ading a giant dog isn\u2019t a prob\u00adlem. The police were very accom\u00admo\u00addat\u00ading, giv\u00ading us a new leash and telling us to get vac\u00adci\u00adnat\u00aded. I explained I\u2019d already had it in March, and they said I could get it next year. Not bad.

\nHen\u00adry has\u00adn\u2019t been very fond of pho\u00adtos late\u00adly, always hid\u00ading when they were tak\u00aden. It took a lot of effort to get a one-inch bare\u00adhead\u00aded, front-fac\u00ading pho\u00adto. Here are a few recent pho\u00adtos for your ref\u00ader\u00adence. (Note from Dad)
